PIPE Evaluation is the stage which follows on from Disclosure & Validation and is a much more rigorous and concerted process of determining the potential of any project.

At this stage, the project takes on more serious commercial consideration and begins to develop a team sourced from PIPE Associates and supported by PIPE core staff.

Consisting of 29 distinct tasks, evidence requests and supporting data provided by the academic or founding team, PIPE Associate, project leader, project manager and lead researcher and is designed to determine potential long term commercial options.

At this early stage up to 80% of all projects fail.

Focusing on the projects initial Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Solution Readiness for Market (SRM) and Proposition Readiness for Investment (PRI), the Evaluation phase considers the commercial and technological route to market, challenges, costs and viability.
